The Jets needed a quarterback and saw Zach Wilson as the second best in the draft. Forget the fact that he was, at best, a late first round talent. They took him second overall. During that same 2021 draft the 49ers wanted a quarterback, as well. Same with Miami in the AFC East; the city of Miami is on the east coast of the U.S. But seeing people wearing US Colts Salute to Service NFL Logo Hoodie in the AFC South, that is probably not geographically appropriate. But still, where would you put them? The four divisions in each conference are named for the cardinal directions, and Indianapolis is pretty much dead center of the country. They may not be in the south but they are not in the north, east or west either. So, why not the AFC South?
