Absolutely not, at least not for now. Starting QB Ryan Tannehill is a bridge starter at best, as evidenced by his performance in 2021 and this year. The offense is run almost entirely through their current starting RB, Derrick Henry, a 2x Pro Bowl starting RB who’s also a former Offensive Player of the Year. And while I’ll admit that Derrick Henry may be the best RB in the NFL, it’s important to recognize that any RB can be stopped if defenses stack Titans shirts well enough. Tannehill has been completely carried by the Henry-led rushing game since 2019, working almost entirely off of play-action passes for 3 seasons now. If you stop the Titans’ rushing game, Tannehill becomes almost obsolete and the Titans almost always lose. They’re such a predictable team on offense that I’m surprised most teams haven’t already gotten a hang of how to stop them.

QB Ryan Tannehill was great as a Titan, but he did not truly carry the offense on his own. That role belonged to Derrick Henry, who led the league in rushing. Tannehill acted as a high-end game manager, a role that could be filled by other veteran quarterbacks provided they are wearing Titans shirts and operating within a scheme that doesn’t make them the focal point.

The Titans have some nice pieces on defense as well, such as slot CB Logan Ryan & CB Adoree Jackson. However, they must all be able to stop the run & pass equally, as the Ravens are the only team in the NFL to average 200 passing & rushing yards per game. This shows how well of a dual-threat QB Lamar Jackson is. Mark Ingram is a beast at RB, & WRs Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin, & Willie Snead & TE Mark Andrews are all going to create some nice options for Lamar Jackson on passing plays while the defense tries to defend the logo on their Titans shirts.
