They are best served by having fans in Titans shirts cheering as they hand it off to RB Derrick Henry on nearly every play. But if Henry, the 2019 leading rusher, can’t make some solid plays early on, then the Titans are in trouble. AJ Brown, Corey Davis, & Adam Humphries may be limited against a very strong Ravens secondary consisting of CBs Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, Jimmy Smith, & Brandon Carr as well as safeties Earl Thomas & Chuck Clark. This makes it even more important to emphasize the running game.

What’s even worse is that the Titans are initiating a rebuild at the worst time possible. After drafting an early-round QB in Malik Willis (3rd round, 86th overall) and seeing Malik Willis fail to live up to his high draft status amidst a miserable rookie season, it’s basically a foregone conclusion that the Titans will trade Willis at some point this offseason. Now it seems like veteran starting QB Ryan Tannehill may also be on the trade block as well. You read that right, the Titans’ roster is in such a bad position that they are going to try and trade both Malik Willis and Ryan Tannehill in the same offseason, in addition to already releasing a bunch of other veteran starters a few months ago. Their new plan is to trade up and draft CJ Stroud or Will Levis in the top of the 1st round, giving whoever they draft a totally barebones roster to work with as they try to play against those 9 playoff-caliber teams in Titans shirts I just mentioned. Unless they draft Stroud or Levis and that said QB miraculously pans out into a star despite having no weapons around him, the Titans are going to be up against shit creek for a while. Their postseason window closed as of 2022, but now they’re really going to look bad after they trade Willis, Tannehill, and cut more veterans.
