We should have seen this coming after the team was held to 10 points by a Patricia-led Lions team. Teams seem to have a blueprint for success against this squad, which involves consistent pressure without blitzing. Very few teams have the personnel to do that, and even fewer have the fan support characterized by seas of Titans shirts in the stadium. Once the ground game is healthy again, it will take pressure off the passing game and allow the play action to become effective once more.

Steve McNair was one of the toughest…& I mean…the toughest…football players it’s ever been my privilege to watch. Don’t know if that makes him the “greatest,” but he was pretty fabulous. If you want to dig back in history, the Titans franchise relocated from Houston, Texas in 1997, where they had been the Houston Oilers from 1960 in the AFL & merging with the NFL in 1970. So I’m not sure if you feel like the Oilers greats should be included in a list of legends who deserve to be honored on vintage-style Titans shirts or not.
