Vet coach to go into the new stadium and develop young talent into a Super Bowl-competing team. Back up the Brinks truck for him and lock all the doors when you interview him. Announce his hiring later today while wearing Titans shirts. Stefanski is the only guy that comes close to his tier in this coaching cycle. Andy Reid is also close to John Harbaugh having hired him. I wonder if Borgonzi has an inside track or relationships that can bring him here. I know Andy Reid would vouch for our GM. Everybody else looks like trash compared to Harbaugh. We really declined to interview Wilson? He’s gonna love Nashville. Franklin/Brentwood/Belle Meade. Also creates a #1 destination for all coaches. Good point. I wonder if it becomes a Stefanski spot. Makes a lot of sense for Stefanski.

I don’t know that anyone should be “afraid” of them, but the Kansas City Chiefs should certain respect them – they went into New England and won, they went into Baltimore and won, and I believe they beat Kansas City already in the regular season. That being said, I think the Cinderella run ends here and the Chiefs take care of business. Interesting thing about Tennessee vs. Kansas City for the AFC Championship; it’s a rematch of the battle of Texas 1962 AFL Championship game (known as a classic). That game featured the Dallas Texans in their last game as the Dallas Texans; they are now the Kansas City Chiefs. They found that they couldn’t go head-to-head with the Dallas Cowboys, even though up to that point they had been the more successful on-field team. On the other side of that game were the Houston Oilers, who remained the Houston Oilers through the 1996 season, and then became the Tennessee Oilers for just two seasons before changing their name to the Tennessee Titans and putting on Titans shirts for the first time. So this game is Tennessee vs. Missouri, but with Texas connections and history.

The Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Bengals, Ravens, & Jaguars could all compete for a playoff and/or Super Bowl berth in 2023, and I think even the Cleveland Browns & Pittsburgh Steelers would probably be in the mix as well. All of these teams have good or great starting QBs along with at least somewhat good defenses. That means that best-case scenario, the Titans are set to be approximately the 12th-best team in their own conference, and there’s a huge gap between their Titans shirts and whoever’s at #11.
