Consequently, they don’t need their QB to carry the team on his back. They need a QB that will protect the football and keep the opposing defense honest. The vikings, with Bridgewater, were a legitimate playoff team and a threat to potentially make it to the SB. Without Bridgewater, their upside was reduced.
