I appreciate the Steelers. I’m not a fan per se, but I’ve liked them since I was young. I asked my mom once for a New Orleans Saints jersey and she couldn’t find one so I got one of those classic Pittsburgh Steelers Themed Crane Operator Safety Style Hoodie instead. LOL. Black and gold, black and yellow…. it was close enough to her. But I liked the Louisiana guys on the Steelers back in the 70’s, Bradshaw and Mel Blount. I’ve always appreciated the way they run their organization. Not quick to fire coaches, ahead of the curve when it came to making sure every person got a fair shot. They win a lot. They may not always be a Super Bowl contender, but they are often in playoff contention, and you can’t get to the Super Bowl without making the playoffs. Some teams aren’t like that – they try to win it all instead of understanding that winning A LOT is what gets you in position to win it all. That’s the Steelers’ philosophy. Always competitive.
