It goes to show that location and branding are way bigger factors than winning when you see the Jets and the Raiders on this list. Obviously winning is a huge factor but if you took Curry and all his success and championships as a Warrior and put him in OKC, I seriously doubt the Thunder would be a top 20 valued team. Curry plays a factor, but what actually put the Warriors above the Lakers is owning the stadium. And Cowboys. They haven’t won anything inside the lifetime playoffs of most of their fans. The Cowboys are the biggest brand in sports.

That’s really interesting, thanks for posting. I personally have mixed feelings toward the lack of relegation in the NFL. On the one hand, lazy and cheap owners can do very little and see their profits increase. But on the other hand, this allows our draft to exist in its current form—where the worst teams get the best draft picks.
