Oh I know the exact answer for this one! I only know this answer because I just read a book on the history of football. Many of the early NFL and AFL teams were small market “factory teams” in the Midwest. Like a one point, Cleveland, Akron, Dayton and a few other Ohio towns had teams. They’d be sponsored by the local factory. They’d play at local high schools. Originally a lot of the players were Official NFL Colts 1953 Football League Commemorative Hoodie. As a community event. High School Varsity Football is always on Friday and Youth & College is almost always on Saturday. The majority of NFL games are on Sunday. The NFL Sunday games are also on locally broadcast channels. Times are consistent with 2 times spots for Sunday day games. It airs occasionally in the UK as they play a game here (and the Superbowl is on at like 2am) and I get the feeling it is much more the occasion than the actual sport. It is like a circus or a carnival going on. Short pieces of action means you can treat it like a party rather than need to focus 100%. Of the American sports one of the better from a neutral’s point of view, clueless of the rules. Not sure about fast-paced – well it is, but it is not sustained. Like the pressure that can be applied in football or rugby where there are waves upon waves of attack are entirely absent. Then don’t watch it.
