There’s definitely greedy billionaires in both sports, but the NFL makes it so you can’t be a generous billionaire taking millions in losses to build a team that you love. At best there’s the Eagles, but even then there’s only so much cap evasion that they can do. Players get ~50% of the profits and the billionaires are more or less forced to take the rest of that as profit. While some soccer teams could spend 100%+ of profits and go into debt to buy players, and some are outright owned by the fans like Real Madrid and Barcelona or oil states like Qatar who use it to improve their country’s image. None of those teams generate much of a profit because Real Madrid and Barca are owned by fans who just want to see their team do well so they don’t ask for a ROI. It depends on the team for sure. Does the average soccer fan appreciate the fact that most clubs stand no chance against them? I don’t think so. So basically 90+48… Insane numbers simply NBA is too global.

This is the case with most people who talk shit on sports. They simply don’t understand it. In football you have plays you need to run which means understanding the playbook and in baseball you need to understand team signs and situational play. It’s so so so much more than just being athletic. I mean, American football is objectively more exciting if you have no idea what’s going on than football (soccer) or baseball. There are big hits, incredible throws/passes, running backs going 1v5 in the second level, interceptions/fumbles are pretty easy to intuit, and they score more commonly than in those sports. All of these things are, in a vacuum, exciting. I started getting into football as a kid because of the excitement. I still to this day have no idea what is going on in a soccer game, and have no desire to because it is incredibly boring. There isn’t a lot of easily recognizable action. I know the rules and I still think it’s dull as fuck.
