This run is so funny to me. Takes the snap out of shotgun. Great blocking by the line, sealing all those blocks on the left. Bell bounces outside. I imagine he wants to avoid the DB on the left and set up the right DB downfield. He’s thinking ahead. The DB sees this and closes in on that gap. Even as that defender is shedding his block and beginning to pursue Bell, he doesn’t panic. Bell stutters to the right…and sees 74 absolutely dominating the line of scrimmage. All the while the DB, 23, is closing in hard on the LOS…perhaps even too hard. He comes right up to the line. Bell rides 74’s block to the outside. Amazingly, the RT wins his block so badly, he cuts off the DB 23’s path to Bell. Now it’s just the D-lineman chasing Bell. He won’t catch him. Amazing blocking and presence of mind.
