I was curious so I went back to look at who we were linked to and who else was hired that year to see just how bad we screwed this up comparatively. So of the 10 head coaches hired only Freddie Kitchens, predictably, was arguably worse and I’m not even positive it was a worse hire because he had a lot of support from the players, unlike Gase. To summarize, we not only made a bad hiring decision, but even our interview candidates were pretty awful in comparison to other candidates that were available.
