It’s a good move for QB Jameis Winston to be with the New Orleans Saints. He can “jumpstart” his disappointing NFL career by using the combined tutelage/knowledge of head coach Sean Peyton and future Hall of Fame QB Drew Brees. With his 1 year contract, Jameis can do what former Vikings starting QB Teddy Bridgewater did as Brees’s backup last season. Bridgewater put in the time, proved he was worthy and then signed this offseason as the Panthers’ possible starting QB. Winston could stick around with the Saints and possibly become the QB heir apparent to Brees who is expected to retire after this season. Jameis would most likely compete with all-purpose QB Taysom Hill or either a Saints draft pick or another free agent.
