I think Cousins is more talented than a lot of other QB’s in this league. I just think he’s been in tough situations. The situation in Washington was tough – the up and down issues with RGIII. And just being in Washington is an issue with Daniel Snyder. Jay Gruden’s offense should have been great for him, and he wasn’t unsuccessful, but the team in general wasn’t great. Offensive line, hands down. Stopping teams has never really been a problem for the Vikings. We’ve had dominating defense always ranked in the top 5–10 for as long as I can remember. Our secondary defense last year was ranked either 1 or 2 in the league if I remember right. Mike Zimmer has been a pretty good coach overall, and the fact that our defensive coordinator has taken a head coaching position for another pro-team should speak volumes about the kind of coaching we have.
