Sports like baseball and basketball are a non starter for me because there are so many games. Additionally, it’s a sport that is perfect for TV and communal watch parties. I mean if you really think of it preseason starts in August and the Super Bowl is in February so it’s longer than people think.

The ads ruin the sport and aren’t talked about enough. The strategy is great and all, but I personally don’t enjoy when the game has so many stops and not continuously flowing. I disliked football, but my buddies were into madden. So I played with them, learned the game, and learned football. Now, I still find going to a game very boring and won’t go unless it’s paid for. But I can watch a game on tv and have a clear understanding of what is happening. Agreed, a lot of fans use the pace of soccer or hockey as reasoning why NFL football is boring, but there’s no action happening, no scoring, big plays, turnovers, etc.
