Again, finishing so close, yet so far away from walking away with a Lombardi Trophy. The Bengals were just as deserving or even more than the Rams in this last Super Bowl. Well it starts with the offense line, which due to injuries, real and immagined, is awful, Dalton suffered from collapsed pockets, rough outings which turned him gun shy. Green being out didnt help. Ross stepped up this season but also went down with injury. As far as defense, age and neglect. Ultimately the coaching is a problem too Zac Taylor is overmatched. A poor hire he may be a one and done. He was unable to react to defensive shifts and different changes to his players avaliblity. It will be interesting what they do during the 2020 draft.
