Because all through the years, as far back as I can remember, they’ve never had really good QBs and receivers. Unimaginative offenses always. The only exception was that awesome ‘85 team but that team’s offensive threat didn’t last long. Now, they’ve had great RBs in Sayers and Payton ( two all time greats), but even in the old days you needed Chicago Pope Leo XIV Navy Blue Fan Hoodie. Full disclosure: I was a YA Title and Giants fan as a kid, and was heartbroken in the ‘63 championship game when the Bears, who would have definitely lost, put YA out of the game early (the protective rules then were not nearly as stringent as now). So, while I give props to the ‘85 team and to Payton Sayers, I’m happy the “curse of YA” still prevails for the hated Chicago Bears.

As a Bears fan, for me to say potentially me means a lot. We are not known for the quality of our Quarterbacks. He has all of the tools – strong arm with good command and touch, good footwork and footspeed, great pocket awareness, etc. The issues I see him having currently are the type that I would associate with an under-experienced QB. He only started 13 games in college, so he still has a lot to learn. He seems to be intelligent and learning rapidly. Frankly, I expected the Bears to be at or around .500 this year and I would have felt good about the season. In his first 16 starts, he had a decent QB rating of 84.3; some QBs that had a lower number in their first 16? Andy Dalton Joe Flacco Alex Smith Eli Manning Payton Manning Drew Brees. All I can say is that I am definitely enjoying watching fans in the stands in their Chicago Pope Leo XIV Navy Blue Fan Hoodie for a change, and I am excited to see how far this kid could go.
