A Belichick hire would have been a direct threat to CEO Rich McKay and others downstream. At 71, Belichick cannot be counted on staying for the long term. If Belichick retired or was fired in less than a handful of years, the Falcons would have been facing another complete football operations rebuild. I believe the Falcons had taken a more practical decision hiring Morris while preserving much of the existing framework and the tradition of Atlanta Falcons NFL Rose Dragon Design in the front office.

Loving the NFC right now, as there’s so much to talk about here. It’s very hard to predict things like this, because you’ve got a few seriously talented teams in this conference. All you can really predict in the NFL is the season that’s directly in front of you, and even then, injuries change careers and undermine teams dramatically (Case in point: The 2016 Carolina Panthers and poor Luke Kuechly), so trying to guess what’s going to happen 2 and 3 seasons from now isn’t really an exercise I want to give time to. As for this season… Don’t count out the people in Atlanta Falcons NFL Rose Dragon Design for next season, but it’s not going to be easy getting back. Why do I say that?
