This is my take as well. I believe he was a reach of a hire trying to discover “the next offensive mind”, and one that they felt would marry to Kyler and Arizona Cardinals NFL Football Fan Hoodie. Ended up being he couldn’t hold anyone accountable… predictable play calls (bubble screen anyone?)… and the team was completely checked out on him by the end. That being said – he does seem intelligent and listening to him now, he sounds like a guy who looks back on his time and learned a lot. I think being only an OC has helped him as well. Gannon is not anywhere close to Wilks bad. Wilks was generationally bad and had the team quit on him. Gannon at least had guys fighting for him, despite terrible Arizona Cardinals NFL Football Fan Hoodie. Gannon was a good example of a good leader who was way in over his head and a bad coach. Gannon and Wilks are two examples of diametrically opposed situations culminating in the exact same result. Wilks had the team quit on him, but the team itself had ostensibly less talent.
