He would have been flipped midseason because we wouldn’t be able to resign him as a backup for $10m+ with Kyler on the books for $50m in 2024. And realistically if he had played well in 2023 he’d have gotten a lot more than the 1y/$10m he got in MN while coming off of throwing 46 passes with SF. Kyler’s contract and inability to live up to it killed any chance of finding a reclaimed franchise qb while paying our franchise qb a shit load of money with no ability to trade off of him. It would have had to be one we found this year and we had Brisket anyways. Not being funny, the people he drafted aren’t going to get post season awards if you don’t win. If you win, the media attention is on you and they go “This player made this play, etc etc. And that’s where the pro bowl votes come into play.” I think the Cardinals are 8-2 in one score games, if the new HC comes in, changes that around.
